Completing online orientation is just one step toward preparing for a successful first term at Portland State. Resource Centers and PSU staff from across campus will be hosting virtual opportunities to connect before your first term.

Participation in the programs below does not take the place of completing online orientation. Instead, the information shared during these sessions is designed to complement the information included in your orientation. You do not have to already have completed your online orientation to take part in any of the programs below.

Virtual Registration Labs

Once you have finished online orientation, you’ll have access to register for your first term courses. However, you may still have questions about your degree map and selecting courses. Academic advisors and student Orientation Leaders are ready to assist during any of the drop-in Virtual Registration Lab dates.

Sessions will be held throughout the summer. Visit the Virtual Registration Lab hub to sign up for a time.

Virtual Family Program

Parents and family of admitted students are invited to our Virtual Family Program. Our Family Program will guide you through what your student needs to do between now and their second week of classes and provide you with information to support your college student. You'll hear from representatives from Academic Advising, Housing & Residence Life, Financial Aid, Transportation, and the Center Student Health and Counseling. We'll have live Q&A throughout the session.
