The Institute for Asian Studies' public programs and scholarships are made possible through the generous support of financial and in-kind contributions made by individuals, families, and corporations in our community.

Community partners play a key role in helping the institute promote a greater understand of Asia, build a regional knowledge bank and resource network on Asia, share costs, expand our public outreach, and engage with our community.

Help ensure the future and continuation of quality, educational and informative public programs on Asia by making a donation; volunteering goods, services, or your time; or underwriting a program as a sponsor.

We invite you to help support, strengthen, and sustain Asia related programming at Portland State University.

Your gift helps fund scholarship awards for students, and brings informative speakers, performing artists, and Asia related films and exhibits to Portland.

Donors can route contributions to these programs:

  • Join Friends of Asian Studies Donor Circle which funds public speakers and performances, films, exhibits, and programs coordinated by Asian Studies.

  • Support Korean studies programming at PSU by contributing to the Korean Studies Program Endowment

  • Contribute to the South Asia Lecture Series Fund

  • Support the Trena Gillette Memorial Endowment Fund

  • Contribute to the Institute for Asian Studies Endowed Scholarship Fund

Consider becoming a program sponsor, co-sponsor, or underwriter of an event. Sponsorship amounts and in-kind support are welcomed at a variety of levels.
