Annual Employee Permits

Employees can purchase their 2021/2022 Annual Permit through our Remote Purchase Form. Purchases will be processed within 1-2 business days and your new physical permit will be mailed to the address provided at checkout. 

  • Annual employee permits are typically charged monthly through a pre-tax payroll deduction, depending on the employee classification 
  • All employee permits (except part-time) are valid at all hours, Monday-Sunday, in locations listed below. 
  • Permits are not valid in reserved spaces or hourly spaces. 

*If you do not need services to begin until later in the summer/beginning of Fall, plan to make your transportation arrangements about two weeks ahead of your return date. This will allow us to process and mail your permit ahead of your return date. 

Purchasing a Permit

Annual permit renewals begin June 1, we encourage all permit sales to be done through our Remote Purchase Form, if you face restrictions such as limited internet access and/or need to pay in cash, you will need to visit our office during our operating business hours.

Permits may only be utilized by one vehicle at a time, and the vehicle must be registered with PSU Transportation & Parking Services.

Featured Permits

Carpool Permit

Split the cost and save on parking, carpool permits are only $69 when split with another F/S member! Carpool permits may be purchased by two or more employees who have compatible schedules and home addresses. Part-Time Parking Permit

The new Part-Time permit is designed to fit the needs of Faculty/Staff members traveling to campus on a part-time basis. 

Part-Time permits are $120/monthly and payroll deductible. This permit option is valid 3 days/week. Faculty/Staff members will be able to choose which three days of the week their permit is valid at the time of purchase (ex. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays). If an employee's schedule changes, the valid days can be changed up to 3 times over the life of the permit. 

Vanport Building 

PCC & OHSU  staff occupying the Vanport Building located at 1810 SW 5th Ave Portland, OR 97201 are now eligible for PSU parking permits at the affiliated rates. Vanport staff can purchase annual faculty/staff permits. To request a permit at the affiliated rate, please fill out our request form and your request will be processed within 1-2 business days. Academic Term Permit

Permit Refunds

If you would like to return an active 2021-2022 permit, please email parking@pdx.edu. Be advised that permit returns must be made by the 10th day of the calendar month in order to avoid a payroll deduction. Please submit your request during our new business hours on the last business day before the 10th of the month, or you will incur a non-refundable pre-tax deduction. No refunds are allowed after the 10th of the month for the unused time.

Parking permit charges are based on possession of the permit, rather than the use of the permit. There is a $5 return fee for all returned permits. Refunds are issued at a pro-rated amount based on the date the permit is returned, if the permit was paid for in full, i.e not payroll deducted.

Refunds will be credited to the employee's university account or to the credit card used at the time of purchase. Permits cannot be returned within the last two weeks of term, not including the finals week of the academic term.

Annual permits billed through the university payroll must be returned by the 10th of the month to be effective on that month's pay cycle. A prorated daily fee will be charged between the 1st and the 10th at the time of return. No refunds are allowed after the 10th of the month for the unused time of the rest of the month for payroll deducted permits.

Account Privacy

All account information including name, contact, license plate, permit history, citation history, and account balances are kept private by PSU. This information is only used for business purposes and is not disclosed to individuals other than the account holder. Valid account number, license plate, or citation number must be provided in order to obtain any of the information listed above, or information deemed private to the account by PSU staff.

NOTE: Each driver uses PSU's parking facilities at their own risk and responsibility.
